Work and case studies
Things I've actually built.
The best proof is a working site. These are live projects, each with a different audience and a different set of problems. Every case study sticks to what I can show: what it does, how it's built and the numbers from its own history. I won't claim traffic or sales I can't back up.
LateOne
A guide to Melbourne's gigs, club nights and festivals, refreshed every morning from venues' own calendars, with late-night guides for cities around Australia.
Automated data, thousands of pages, public transport info
TradieToday
A marketplace where Melbourne homeowners post a trade job and approved local tradies quote, from routine fixes to same-day call-outs.
Accounts, a database, tradie approvals, Stripe payments
Fair Go Finds
An Australian deals site where members post and vote, and each deal can get a verdict from its own price history on whether the discount is real.
Price history, fair voting, alerts, Next.js on Cloudflare
Plan Tally
Compares Australian SIM-only phone plans on what they really cost over a year, promotions and all, with every price sourced and dated.
Built in about 15 hours, 172 pages, no dependencies
SmokoShare
A share-house finder where every room shows its tobacco, vape and 420 rules up front. The first real listing went live the day after the repository was created.
Email confirmation, moderation, guides and a free tool
DJ Vital Viper
A Melbourne mobile DJ's WordPress site, replaced by five fast pages and an instant quote that prices the event and writes the email.
Small business site, WordPress move, instant quote
Big Bluff Bay
A calendar of live poker events around Australia, linked to each organiser's own page, with calendar feeds and a daily check for changes.
Event data done honestly, calendar feeds, search
mattg.com.au
This site, live 1 hour 26 minutes after its repository was created, and the free website check that runs on Cloudflare's free tier.
Speed, security, a website check anyone can use
What these projects show
Fast pages are only part of the job. Between them, these projects cover what most business sites and apps eventually need:
- A small business site that answers "how much?" up front, moved off WordPress without losing its old addresses: DJ Vital Viper.
- Accounts, a database, approvals and payments: TradieToday and SmokoShare.
- Data that's gathered or checked by code, not just typed in by hand: LateOne, Plan Tally and Big Bluff Bay.
Built quickly, checked carefully
I build with AI, which is why these went from idea to live in days rather than months. Code changes still go through automatic checks and a preview link before I approve them. How I work with AI.

I can help with a lean business website, or something more involved with accounts, databases or automated updates. I'll discuss what you need before promising a delivery date or a fixed price.
