Melbourne small business websites
A business website that earns its place.
I build fast, straightforward websites for Melbourne businesses that need to be found, trusted and contacted. No sprawling project for a five-page site. Tell me what customers need to know and I'll make it easy for them to act.
Who this is for
A local service business whose current website is dated, an independent operator launching a new venture, or a business that has outgrown a one-page social profile. The job is to explain what you do, where you work and why a customer should contact you.
What's included in a sensible launch
Responsive layouts tested on narrow phones, clear navigation, service descriptions, contact options, search-friendly page titles, headings and canonical URLs, social-sharing previews, sensible image sizes, accessibility fundamentals and basic analytics. I set up the site on a reliable cloud platform and show you how enquiries arrive. The exact number of pages and integrations is agreed in the quote.
How I work
First, I ask about your customer, locations, services, existing content and the action you want visitors to take. Then I show you an initial direction and refine it with feedback. Straightforward sites can go live within a couple of days once I have the content, access and approvals I need; more complex sites take longer.
What a good site doesn't need
A wall of stock copy, dozens of duplicate suburb pages or features nobody uses. Search visibility comes from clear, distinct service information and real proof. If a simpler solution meets your needs, I’ll say so.
What it looks like in practice
DJ Vital Viper's site is a small business site doing its job: the home page prices the event, checks the suburb is in the service area and writes the enquiry email, and the whole page, styles included, is about 12 KB compressed. Read the case study, or see everything I've built.
Costs and next steps
New websites start from $1,800 AUD. Hosting and upkeep start from $110 per month. A specific quote sets out pages, revisions, content responsibilities, any third-party subscriptions and ongoing costs before work begins.
