When you build sites who owns the domain name and hosting account?

Naturally, your company does. This is one of the "traps" that isn't immediately apparent with some web design companies. By ordering your domain name or hosting through me, everything from the domain name, hosting account, original image files, original flash files, and all website code, is your property.

Unfortunately some of my competitors attempt to "lock in" their clients by claiming these building blocks for your site are their intellectual property (IP). If you do not have access to these it makes it almost impossible to switch to another provider to maintain your website.

Choosing myself to create and maintain your site gives you a very "open" solution. If for any reason you would like to maintain the site yourself in-house or remove the site and place it back online at a later date you have the tools to do so, without any hard feelings.
